John Truex
John Truex (b. 1982; MFA Cranbrook Academy of Art 2006) produces furniture and product with emphasis on micro-industrial processes, exploring ways to incorporate tools of mass production into hand worked objects. As a designer for Stephen Burks and later Dakota Jackson, John contributed to a diverse range of projects - from Calvin Klein fragrance bottles to custom Steinway pianos. Work from his New York studio has been exhibited internationally, and recent projects include kitchenware for Alessioom.
